Architectural elements such as brick and drywall become structurally supported by and depend on the domestic materials (chair legs, table tops) the artist uses to build her works. Her body of work (originally titled "Search for Home"), explores the idea that the poetics of space and structure are a direct reflection of philosophical challenges to human existence. The connection between the phenomenological sense of home versus the external framework of houses and buildings is remarkably similar to the connection between the interior versus exterior (public and private) of people. Themes such as gender role reversal, violence, memory, and concupiscence have been subtly fused into her works as the artist examines the relationship of home and structure to personal identity.
